Volunteer with ACHS

At the Alachua County Humane Society, volunteers are integral to the success of our organization. Without volunteers, we would be unable to save as many animals as we do. We are always looking for dedicated individuals to help us in a variety of areas ranging from walking, cleaning, and socializing with animals to laundry, dishes, thrift store operations and special events.

Save lives while you shop!

Did you know we have a massive thrift store located on our property? Not only do we stock new and gently used pet items and accessories, we also have a wide variety of clothing, furniture, books and collectables.

The best part? 100% of all proceeds from thrift store shoppers goes directly toward the continued care of the dogs and cats in our shelter. What are you waiting for? Stop by our thrift store and help save a life today!
