excited to bring to you a new program available to our supporters. Many of you have pets that are loved, cared for, spoiled, and adored every day. You may wonder and worry about what will become of your pet(s) if you should become chronically ill, incapacitated, or pass away. While many of us have family members that would gladly step in and care for children, parents, or spouses, how many of us have someone that would truly care for and take care of our beloved pets should anything unfortunate or unforeseen happen? The answer to that question is simple- YOU have someone who will take care of your pet that has been left behind – The Alachua County Humane Society.
Pet Meals On Wheels- Alachua County Humane Society offers to recipients of, or individuals on a waiting list for, Meals on Wheels, our Pet Meals on Wheels Program. The purpose of this program is to provide support for elderly pet owners whose financial or physical ability has changed to the extent that they can no longer provide support for their pets. Our goal is to provide assistance that will allow individuals to retain pets in good health.
Tell a Friend: If you are a current member or you have adopted from us within the past year, you can get a $10.00 gift certificate to our Thrift, Gift and Pet Supply Store (good toward anything we sell - Advantage, Advantix, Frontline Plus, Science Diet, new or donated merchandise). All you need to do is send someone our way. If that person becomes a member at $50.00 or higher or adopts from us, you get a $10.00 gift certificate.
